 Resource Description and Access is a new standard for bibliographic description. 

It is a successor of AACR2.

 RDA flexible framework for describing all resources analog and digital.

Data that is readily adaptable to the new and emerging database structures.

Data that is compatible with existing records in online library catalogs.
