Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched a 100-Day Reading Campaign from January 1st to April 2022.  PADHE BHARAT campaign focussed on children studying in Balvatika to Class VIII.

That the habit of reading if inculcated at an early stage helps in brain development & enhances imagination & provides a conducive learning environment for children.

This campaign has also been aligned with the vision & goals of the Foundational Literacy & Numeracy mission. (FLN)

Hence, 100 day Reading Campaign is envisaged to support & encourage students along with their parents, guardians, and communities in every possible way & encourage children to read for a joyful learning experience.
